Track your Google keyword rankings over time, with email alerts and optional Search Console data.
SerpBear is an open-source rank tracker. Add your domains and keywords, and it records your Google position over time, with email notifications and optional Google Search Console data for impressions and visits. It looks up results through a third-party scraping service or your own proxies, so you add one in Settings after you deploy. The template makes sign-in required: you choose the password, and the session secret and API key are generated for you. It builds the official repository, so you always get the current version.
Deploy SerpBear to NEXUS AI · SerpBear on GitHub · Tested 2026-10-04 · MIT license
Security
Sign-in is required from the first start. The app uses the password you chose, plus a generated session secret and API key, so the dashboard and its API answer 401 until you sign in.
What gets created
- The SerpBear web app and its scheduled rank checker, built from the repository's Dockerfile
- A public HTTPS URL on port 3000, also set as the app's own URL
- A generated session secret and API key, so sign-in is required from the first start
Before you deploy
- A password you choose on the deploy form. Keep it: you sign in as admin with it
- A scraping service such as SerpApi, SearchApi, or HasData, or your own proxies, to look up Google rankings. The app does not include one, and some free scraping tiers listed in its README no longer work
- Runs on the Free plan: about 85 MB of memory when idle
- First build takes about 5 minutes
How to deploy
- Press Deploy. Sign in or create a NEXUS AI account and you return to the same page.
- Choose a name for your URL, review the settings, and press Deploy again.
- Wait for the build, then open your URL when the status is Running.
After it deploys
- Open your URL and sign in as admin with the password you chose
- Open Settings and add your scraping service or proxy details
- Add your domain and the keywords you want to track
- Optional: connect Google Search Console and SMTP in Settings for visit data and email alerts
Your data
Your domains, keywords, and ranking history live in a SQLite database inside the container. Stopping and starting keeps them; rebuilding the deployment starts fresh.
SerpBear is an independent open-source project. NEXUS AI is not affiliated with it, and the name belongs to its owners.
