The app and worker share the same deployment network, so application code can use internal hostnames such as postgresql and redis instead of hard-coded host ports or external database addresses.
Storage and recovery included
Production apps usually need more than compute. NEXUS AI supports persistent filesystem volumes for apps that write to paths such as /data, S3-compatible buckets for uploads and generated files, database backups, in-place restore, and restore into another compatible service in the same organization.

No. NEXUS AI detects your runtime (Node.js, Python, Go, Java, and more) and generates the Dockerfile automatically. You can provide your own if you prefer, but it is not required.
Do I need to write CI/CD YAML?
No. A single CLI command, nexus deploy source, builds and deploys your app. For automated pipelines, a scoped access token and one nexus deploy redeploy call in your existing CI runner is all that is required.
Which cloud providers does NEXUS AI support?
NEXUS AI deploys to AWS App Runner, Google Cloud Run, and Azure Container Apps, plus NEXUS AI-managed Docker infrastructure. Switching providers is a single flag change on the next deploy.
Does NEXUS AI deploy to my own cloud account?
Yes, on Starter ($29/mo) and above. Your workloads run inside your own AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure account. Not on shared NEXUS AI infrastructure. Free-tier deployments use NEXUS AI-managed Docker.
How long does a first deployment take?
Under 5 minutes from nexus deploy source to a live URL. Redeployments on AWS App Runner and Google Cloud Run complete in 60–90 seconds. The previous revision stays live until the new one passes health checks.
How does NEXUS AI handle secrets and environment variables?
Secrets are stored in an AES-256-GCM encrypted vault and injected at runtime. Never baked into the container image. No plaintext secrets in repos, CI logs, or containers. Scoped access tokens control which deployments can read which secrets.

Does the AI Builder verify generated code?
Yes. The builder can run project checks inside its isolated development sandbox, inspect errors, change files, and repeat verification. It also restarts the sandbox when dependency or database schema changes require a fresh environment.
Can I share and remix an app built with NEXUS AI?
Yes. Publish a frozen app snapshot at an unguessable public preview link. A signed-in user can remix that snapshot into a new project while the original share remains unchanged.
Can generated apps use S3 file uploads and Stripe payments?
Yes. The builder follows server-side contracts for S3-compatible uploads and Stripe payments. At deployment, NEXUS AI can create and attach a storage bucket and inject STRIPE_SECRET_KEY from the encrypted Secrets Vault.
What happens if a deployment fails?
On Pro ($149/mo) and above, nexus deploy rollback redeploys the previous known-good configuration in under 60 seconds. On all plans, the previous revision stays live on AWS App Runner and Google Cloud Run while the new one is being validated.
